Scott is a Master of Social Work Intern, who is working under the clinical director, Rachel Handa. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology from North Georgia University, where he spent the summers working at a therapeutic high adventure summer camp. His professional experience comes from working in wilderness therapy, utilizing dialectic behavioral and mindfulness based cognitive therapy, focused on increasing executive functioning. Scott is getting his Master of Social Work from Western New Mexico University, with a focus in outdoor behavioral health. He has recently completed three clinical internships focused on treating addiction through rehabilitative services, while providing individual and group therapy. He is a strong believer in using treatment services as a measure to help change one’s actions, in order to change one’s thoughts. Scott is deeply driven by his hobbies that include golf, highlining, and traveling with his best friend Scooby Doo.
