Laurie Ortiz

Laurie has her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland. She is providing services under the supervision of Jack Platt, LCSW. Laurie was born in Cleveland, Ohio and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Community Services and a Minor in Sociology from Bowling Green State University. Laurie has an extensive professional history working as a Behavior Specialist in the field of Autism and education awareness for individuals with special needs. Laurie is a certified Special Needs Life Coach and has a passion for working with others. As a recovering alcoholic, Laurie hopes to instill the same tools for achieving and maintaining successful, long-term sobriety that she herself uses. Laurie currently lives in North San Diego County with her husband and 2 daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs, reading, baking and crafting.
